I remember a car trip with my 40-year nephew down in Florida last summer. The talk turned to politics and despite his right leaning tendencies - I have a brother-in-law that leans that way too - I was surprised to hear that he cared little about who ran our country or what direct it took. [...]

Super Delegates; And the Point is What?
February 14th, 2008 · 1 Comment
I always thought of myself as a bit of a political junkie, just enough of a pundit that I got it right almost as much as I got it wrong.
But when this Super Delegate issue raised its head not long ago, I was caught napping I must say. Where did Super Delegates come from … [...]

Get Out and Vote
February 5th, 2008 · No Comments
It’s Super Tuesday.
I don’t care who you vote for, although I can certainly offer up a few suggestions if you need them.

Democrats, the Disenfranchised and Hillary

Maher Needs to Wait for the Writers
January 19th, 2008 · No Comments
I’ve been a huge fan of the outrageous Bill Maher for many years. For the most part, his guests are inciteful - and inciting - and usually lean pretty left of center. As best a guy on HBO can though, I think Maher has tried to have conservatives on board to attempt to present another [...]

Hannah … Meet the Beatles
January 17th, 2008 · 1 Comment
Now that I have a 13-year old daughter, I’ve been kicked back a few decades in time to when music was a prime focus of my life. It simply doesn’t seem to be any longer for some darned reason.
I saw The Beatles in Hyde Park live in another lifetime, but it looked like my [...]
