It’s not really any great surprise that Hillary and Barack have begun taking pot shots at each other. What does bother me though is the Obama is essentially letting Hillary dictate the terms of the match. She says something insane - or has one of her confidants do it for her - and Obama reacts.

If he’s going to have a chance at winning the nomination - more delegates or not - he’s going to need to figure out a way to turn the discussion to topics that voters care about and not the low-life debates that the Clintons seem to find might be an excellent way to win the nomination.

There are of course folks who may rightly have it figured out, that if Obama can’t fight back - or perhaps figure out a more eloquent way to steer the debate with Clinton that he might not deserve the nod.

But what really concerns me is that the two Dems could keep this tennis game going until summer. By then, I think this fight could well have turned off millions of Democratic voters who have come out of hiding. And that could just give the White House to John McCain, a truly scary thought.
